Certificates awarded to the third generation of Ukrainian participants of the Integration-Education Program
On Monday, October 28, 2024, in the hall "Blessed Alojzije Card. Stepinac" at the Catholic University of Croatia, the third generation of Ukrainian students were awarded certificates of successful completion of the Integration-Education Program.
There were 37 participants who, from February to July, acquired knowledge of the Croatian language, history and culture four times a week. They were addressed by the rector of CUC, prof. Željko Tanjić, PhD, President of the Ukrainian Community of the City of Zagreb, Marija Meleško, representative of the Ukrainian National Minority of the City of Zagreb, Viktor Filima, and project manager Karla Žagi, PhD. Everyone congratulated them on the completion of the program, wished them a successful integration into Croatian society and an end to the war as soon as possible.
After the ceremonial receipt of the certificates, program attendee Zhanna Zorova spoke on behalf of the third generation and thanked the teachers for the knowledge, dedication, hard work and love they incorporate into the teaching process.
The sponsors of the Integration-Education Program are the Foundation of the German Bishops' Conference Renovabis and CUC, and the collaborating organization is the Ukrainian Community of the City of Zagreb. The program has been implemented at CUC since February 2023, and classes are currently underway for the fourth of six groups, as many as are foreseen in the project.
The teaching team of the Integration-Education Program consists of university teachers: associate professor Ph.D. Mario Bara, associate professor Ph.D. Tado Jurić, assistant professor Ph.D. Lucija Mihaljević, assistant professor Ph.D. Milica Mikecin, Ph.D. Karla Žagi, Ana Komarytsia, mag. philol. and Matea Vidulić, mag. comm.
