Studentska praksa

During the 1st year in the summer semester, students of the bachelor's degree in communication are obliged to attend 120 hours of practice outside the University with partners on the labor market. For this purpose, over the past years, the University, based on the signed Cooperation Agreements, has been expanding the circle of partners with whom our students do their mandatory internships, and there are currently more than 50 of them. for public relations, the largest number of partners belongs to this group, followed by the media, marketing agencies, non-governmental associations, church and cultural institutions, and scientific and higher education institutions. In this way, we tried to cover as wide a range of companies, institutions and institutions where (future) communication scientists can apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the conditions of the "labor market", but also meet the preferences of the students themselves.

For the last few years, the practice schedule has been established during the first three weeks of the summer semester (at the initiative of the students themselves), during which students are freed from all other study obligations, and are "full-time" available to their mentors at partner institutions.

The method of evaluation is prescribed by the Detailed Implementation Plan, and the evaluation is formed on the basis of the mentor's evaluation, the content of the Practice Diary filled out by the students, as well as the final Practice Report that the students submit to the subject teacher.

Immediately before the implementation of the internship, and in order to make it as successful as possible, regular meetings of mentors with students and professors are organized, where students have the opportunity to present to future mentors their previously acquired knowledge and skills and their expectations from the internship itself, mentors explain to future interns what it is expected from them in practice, and the teachers in the course, to clarify the evaluation criteria and expected outcomes.

By successfully attending the internship, with a positive grade, the student acquires 5 ECTS points.
