- Campus description
On the Črnomerec campus, the University has around 27,000 m2 of space, on which there are seven buildings. The university created a conceptual project for the spatial arrangement of the campus, which, in addition to the renovation and remodeling of existing buildings, also includes the construction of new facilities and infrastructure. In the two buildings renovated so far, teaching spaces have been arranged, i.e. classrooms, study cabinets and offices for scientific and teaching staff. Currently, the building of the University Library and the future University Computer Center is being renovated, and the building of the scientific research center is planned for further renovation. The buildings of the future student dormitory, the rectory building and the multi-purpose building for classes will also be renovated.
As part of the business-residential center on the northeast corner of the Črnomerec campus, the University has a 450-seat Aula Magna and lecture halls for classes, and the construction of a student canteen, a television and sound studio, and an editing unit for the needs of Communication studies and sports centreis planned. An underground garage with 460 parking spaces, on 4 floors, is planned under the surface of the campus, which would serve not only for the needs of the University, but also for public purposes.
In general, the campus will be a place with recognizable architecture, a landscaped square, horticulture and walkways that connect the university facilities to each other, but also to the city and local environment.

The campus on Črnomerec includes the historical complex of the former Austro-Hungarian "Home Guard", built in 1899 in collaboration with urban planner Milan Lenucij and architect Janko Holjc, with a total area of 2 hectares, where, according to the current state, there are 10 buildings planned for the development of the University.
The buildings of the Home Guard barracks are a prominent example of well-designed and realized military buildings. In 2006, based on a donation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Zagreb Archdiocese, the Zagreb Archdiocese took over the complex for the needs of the Catholic University of Croatia.
